No school!
There's nothing better than a snowstorm!
One morning, two young brothers look out their frosted windows and see millions of snowflakes floating down. Everything is covered in a thick coat of pure white. Will it be thick enough? Soon come the magic words they've been waiting for: NO SCHOOL!
The brothers hurry to put on their coats and boots: it's time to play field hockey, tag and build a snow fort. Later, as their faces burn from the cold and their toes freeze, it's time for hot chocolate and drying their soaked mittens. Once warmed up, they head back outside for more fun in the snow. When it's finally time to sleep, they go to bed, exhausted.
Outside, the snow continues to fall... Will there be another day off tomorrow?
Werner Zimmermann's playful text, combined with beautiful watercolor illustrations, captures all the excitement and wonder of a snowy day.
